Dedicated to the memory of Jill
This site is a tribute to Jill, who was born on June 19, 1938 and sadly died August 5th 2023. Beloved Wife, Mother and Granny. She was a warm, funny and loving woman. Described as a big character by all that met her. She always had a open house for friends and family who were welcomed and greeted with the offer of a large glass of wine or a gin and tonic. The tribute with Barnados was chosen as Jill spent many years as Chairman of her local branch when the family lived in Wrea Green, Lancashire. She is so loved and will always be remembered.

Thoughts
Feel no guilt in laughter, she knows how much you care
Feel no sorrow in a smile that she’s not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever, she would not want you to.
She’d hoped you could carry on, the way you always do.
So talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you,

That brings her back as clearly as though she was here
And fills you with the feelings that she is always near
